It’s quite the range of destinations, we know! All to be travelled one at a time, with some serious time on your hands to really soak in each culture’s offering. Here’s where chozun celebrated this week for #chozunaday, with a tip or two for each destination featured.
Where: Akaroa, New Zealand
What chozun celebrated: Waitangi Day
The whole of NZ celebrates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document, on this date in 1840.
Heading to Akaroa?
As Chinese New Year approaches next week, chozun 途赞 are certainly in the mood to celebrate. This week, we’ve celebrated Chiang Mai – Thailand, Patras – Greece, Taipei – Taiwan, Tripura – India & today, Kujawy – Poland #chozunaday:
Celebrated: National Teacher’s Day (วันครู Wan Kruu)
Place: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Date: 16 January
After the bustle of Bangkok, head for a well deserved break surrounded by pristine rainforest reserves, mountains (like Doi Inthanon – Thailands highest mountain), churning waterfalls, serene forest, bubbling hot springs & peaceful country villages.
chozun continues to celebrate everyday with #chozunaday, because, there’s always something to celebrate in the world, daily.
Celebrated: Kanji Day
Date: 12 December
Every year in Japan, a character is selected to represent the events of the that year. Kanji of the year 2016 is “金” (kin) which means gold.
How chozun途赞 celebrated: Dressed up as dragons & made picked our own chozun Kanji word “初” – meaning, the first or beginning. We’ve had a lot of firsts this year!
