Where to see in 2017

Singapore, NYE Fireworks

The clock ticks 12am. There’s a countdown that most don’t get right, some even miss. Fireworks. Music. Fun. You’ve been preparing for the New Year.  Heck, in 2016, the line up of famous people who passed are enough for us all to want to kiss 2016 goodbye. To start fresh.

Who will you kiss at midnight?  What will you wear? You’ve sorted all your New Years Resolutions. You are ready to go – be healthier, lose weight, quit smoking, stop drinking (as of the 02.01.2017), get fit, don’t eat as much chocolate, visit Mum & Dad more, learn to drive, do more yoga, spend more time doing things for yourself, travel, buy a house, and all the rest.

Sometimes, New Years and the resolutions that come with the big event can be an anti-climax.  See in the New Year with a climax, in a different part of the world. This year, we’ve looked at the top three places to see in the New Year and all those resolutions (you will keep).

  1. Edinburgh, Scotland

Loads gather for the annual Hogmanay celebration (means a celebration of the last day of the year).  There’s famous acts, music, traditional dancing, streets buzzing. And of course, fireworks. Topped off with a day of activities for New Years Day.

   2. Dubrovnik, Croatia

Whilst not a common destination for New Years, you’ll get to spend some up and close time with locals as the streets, bars and restaurants burst with celebrating people. Just be prepared, it will be cold.

   3. Singapore

Looking for a beach party? In Singapore? Yes, well, there is one. It’s seen the New Year in for now 10 years in a row. You can head to Siloso Beach Party 2016 for 12 hours of dancing, music, entertainment, and well, partying.

No matter where in the world you are, Happy New Year!
